shelbysmith.cc Twig Vasewalnut/ash; the pattern was intended to be more of a sine wave. i set the stop on the miter saw to cut part of the way through the blank, then glued in a strip; pare down the waste down to the flat reference face, and repeated for all four inserts. i think the depth is the critical part to achieve the perfect sine wave. other turners use a similar method to achieve celtic knots.
